Jesus always existed with God from the very beginning. See Hebrews 10:5-10.
Jesus was the only one who was begotten of God the Father. See Matthew 1:18-23
God talks about Jesus being his son. See Matthew 17:5
Jesus was begotten of the Holy Spirit and Adam was made with soil therefore Adam is not the Son of God because Adam wasnt begotten/fathered by God like Jesus.
IMTHATH: Its not a contradiction, you just lack the understanding and Gospel Truth. I know enough about the Quran to know its not TRUTH. Jesus is the way into the Kingdom of Heaven. You cannot enter any other way so the Quran will not help you. No offence is intended.

The angels of heaven are sons of God even as Adam was a “son of God.” (Ge 6:2; Job 1:6; 38:7; Lu 3:38) But the Lo′gos, later called Jesus, is “the only-begotten Son of God.” (Joh 3:18) He is the only one of his kind, the only one whom God himself created directly without the agency or cooperation of any creature. He is the only one whom God his Father used in bringing into existence all other creatures. He is the firstborn and chief one among all other angels (Col 1:15, 16; Heb 1:5, 6), which angels the Scriptures call “godlike ones” or “gods.” (Ps 8:4, 5) Therefore, according to some of the oldest and best manuscripts, the Lord Jesus Christ is properly described as “the only-begotten god [Gr., monogenes′ theos′].”—Joh 1:18, NW, Ro, Sp.

Adam is a son of God just as I am--spiritually born. But Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten of the Father in the flesh--meaning the only child the Father sired with a mortal mother.

Because Jesus is the first creation of God in heaven (Colosians 1:15. Revelation 3:14, 1 John 5:19 and Micah 5:2) but adan was the first being similar to god in earth (Genesis 1:26-28).

Jesus is the only BEGOTTEN son. He is the only creation created DIRECTLY by his Father. Colossians 1:13-16 states...He (Jesus) delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the FIRSTBORN OF ALL CREATION; because BY MEANS OF HIM all other things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created THROUGH HIM and for him.
So Jesus was created by his Father...and God used Jesus to create everything else. So Adam was not "begotten" by God...(only Jesus was), he was "begotten" by God's son, Jesus.

Luke refers to Adam as the son of God because Adam had no earthly father, so his Father was God.
Jesus was called the Son of God because He was with God from the beginning. Through Him, God made all things.
Read John 17, and you might understand who Jesus was.
Jesus means "Jehovah is salvation"

Begotten as opposed to created. Jesus was a man who had a human mom and God for a dad, Adam had God as a dad, no mom at all..

Jesus was the Only Begotten Son. Created of the Holy Spirit and woman.
Adam was of the dust and holy spirit with no human ancestry.
1st adam vs 2nd adam.

Well, modern Christians twist words like anything to suit their needs.
When I asked this question before, they said that were all Gods children.
Then I said what makes Jesus so special then? And then they said but Jesus was a seperate thing and was a better person so Jesus is a higher "child" in Gods eyes.
This cannot be true, because this would mean God prefers some of His children over others.
The whole "father-children" thing is a blasphemy in terms of portraying God the Creator.
When you teach your kids about God and say "hes our father" the first thing they imagine in their head is a man...in heaven.
And then they imagine this man with a beard...
The white kids imagine God is white
The black kids are told God is white...because His favorite "child" Jesus is portrayed all over the place as "white".
And a whole set of irrational thought patterns stem from the whole "father-child" argument.
The truth be told, God is not a man, and God is never as low as to have sexual desires so He can have "children".
Even if its a spiritual thing rather than literal, this is nothing but a road to blasphemy because in our minds, we will create an image of God. And that in itself..is blasphemy.
