Peace is a state of harmony, absent open hostility. This term is applied to describe a cessation of or lapse in violent international conflict; in this international context, peace is the opposite of war. Peace can also describe a relationship between any parties characterized by respect, justice, and goodwill.
More generally, peace can pertain to an individual relative to her or his environment, as peaceful can describe calm, serenity, and silence. This latter understanding of peace can also pertain to an individual's sense of himself or herself, as to be "at peace" with one's self would indicate the same serenity, calm, and equilibrium within oneself.

I think every one of us would liike to say we walk the walk but since none of us is perfect we can't expect to get it 100% right. I sincerely try to walk the walk. There are times like when I miss prayers that I know I'm not walking the walk and it makes me feel bad. Now as for being a hypocrite by talking the talk I rarely do it and simply admit that I'm not doing as I should be doing. It's morally wrong to be such a hypocrite and pretend to be someone you're not. Conscience weighs on one's soul.....

I try to walk the walk every day. To see myself in every person I meet and to treat them each with respect, wonder, love and care. I try to see God in every person I meet,because His presence is everywhere. God is everything. Being an old peace loving, tree hugging hippie I am at peace with myself, but it took some time to come to grips with the things I had done wrong and the people I may have hurt. I never turn anyone away, I help people with my tithe instead of the pocket's of preacher's. I stop and talk to the elderly and young when I am shopping and in the mall's. I make eye contact with everyone I see and smile and say hello. The reactions are beautiful and I have made many friends this way. I don't push the Bible at people, I tell them I love Him and He loves me and that He loves all of us, just like we are. Most have forgotten 2 simple things. 1- The only thing different between the sinner's and the saints one is saved and the other one ain't. Church's, Temples, Meeting places are supposed to be for the sinners, not the saints. I help my neighbors and they help me. I have made friends across the world and we spend hours talking of God and how we can be better people and how we can help our brother's and sisters be they believer's or not.

Awesome question. I have pondered and questioned my own walking my talk and unfortunately have found it to be wanting. That is why i stopped talking my talk six years ago, so I could concentrate on simply walking. Only recently have I decided to return to my roots. Your question covers a great deal of content which I would like to comment on. My experience with people is that words are ultimately understood in their conscious self enmeshed in the sum of their experiences. Therefore when you say Peace defining it as perhaps a dictionary might. It can be far removed from another individuals perception of the word relative to their unique experience of the word. It is even more so with the word love which has so much emotive experience attached to it that they might perceive love as hurt, as that was an outcome of love that they had given. We cannot really judge another as walking his talk as it is so difficult to know what that means to them. Perhaps my understanding of the words of your question is close to yours maybe it is miles apart until we van transcend this gulf there is no way of knowing what people are doing. I walk my walk and have recently decided it is time to talk my talk. Confusing answer, probably but it is my understanding of a very important issue which divides the world in an alarming way

I try my best to walk the walk.....because if I don't....then I'm a hypocrite....and not bearing good fruit.
