If you feel that you want your tongue pierced, go for it. I am 29, and really thinking about a septum piercing, but due to the nature of my trade, I think it might be a bad idea. (I would do it today otherwise.) What is "too" old anyways? If you ever find out let me know. Do we have to stop being who we are, and play bingo instead of jamming out on guitars just because we are 30? As far as I can tell, I will be the oldest dude in the mosh pit for a long time to come. Good luck!!

You are not too old! I have always said that when I am an old lady I was gonna tint my hair pink or blue. Just a hint of color. And I am still gonna do it. What is the worst that can happen, you dont like it and you take it out. Women in their 30s are at their sexually peak so it could be in a bonus in some ways =). If you want to do it I would say go for it. You might feel old but you are not! Maybe it will even make you feel a bit younger! Good luck and Good health to you and yours.

I'm 23(next monday) and I've had my nose and tongue done since I was 13 so I was thinking about if I will take either one out when I'm in my 30s and I think I'm gonna keep them in. My mom is in her 50s and is still rockin the nose ring. I would say go for it, 30 is not old!!!

You are never too old to express yourself. It's your body, do whatever you wish with it.
You are a thirty-eight year old woman...what you are too old for is letting your friends dictate what you do and do not do ; ) I mean that in a nice way, believe me!
Be true to yourself; if it's really what you want to do, then do it!

You know, I too am in your age category & would look at it like this--get your tongue pierced now as an 80 year old with a tongue piricing is going to be weird.
Now or never!! YOU Have to live before you DIE!!
