Well that depends on what you mean by "Change"...if you mean dump all the litter out, wash the box and put new litter in...AND you're using clumping litter it should be done at least once every two weeks.
If you are using clay litter than at least every four or five days.

BUT if by "Change" you mean, cleaning all the poop and pee out of it...that needs to be done at the VERY least once a day...we have four cats and three litter boxes and we use clumping litter...the clumps are removed three times a day and all of the litter dumped, boxes washed and new litter put in once every two weeks.

Cats WILL NOT use a dirty litter box, so they have to be kept clean at all times.

According to my cat's veternarian, the litter box should be scooped at least twice a day, and cleaned out and replaced with new litter once a week.

Doing this will keep your pet using the litter box the rest of his/her life and won't lead to bad habits - such as urinating next to the box, on carpet, etc.

You should scoop out the feces and other clumps on a daily basis. Every 4 days, change the litter in the box and every couple week, wash out the entire box. :)

U SHOULD CLEAN OUT THE POOPY ON A DAILY BASIS AND CHANGE THE WHOLE LITER ONCE A WEEK OR EVERY OTHER WEEK. THAT WAY UR HOUSE AND CAT WON'T STINK. EVERYONE WHO VISITS ME AT HOME ALWAYS SAYS THEY CAN'T TELL I HAVE A CAT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SMELL LIKE IT!

I REGULARLY TAKE THE CLUMPED URINE OUT THE BOX TOO.

PUT URSELF IN UR CATS PAWS. HOW WOULD U WANT UR BATHROOM TO LOOK AND SMELL WHEN U WENT IN THERE.

ALSO, WHEN U DO CHANGE THE ENTIRE LITER U SHOULD ALWAYS WASH THE LITER BOX WITH SOAP AND WARM WATER TO GET THE BAD SMELLS AND STAINS OUT. DO NOT USE HARSH CHEMICALS LIKE BLEACH OR ANYTHING. UR CAT MIGHT NOT WANT TO USE THE LITER BOX IF IT SMELLS OF CHEMICALS AND THUS WILL END UP PEEING ALL OVER THE HOUSE!

I change the cat litter for my cat every 2-3 days. Cats love a clean bathroom, and if mine doesn't think his is clean enough he will let you know.

I use the clumping kind, scoop it out daily and add fresh to it to keep it at a level of about 3 inches. Do that and you shouldn't have to start fresh more than once a month.

At least once a week. Cats like a clean bathroom just like humans do.

As often as you need to. A good rule of thumb is when you can smell it beyong being really close to it. Just use your discretion as to what level of smell is acceptable in your home.
