All I can tell you is this. It is up to God to take him into his own mercy.
We believe that even if he goes to the hell fire he will not last there for an eternity as long as in his heart he BELIEVED in only ONE GOD
May God bless his soul

Well what difference does it make what we believe.
God asks us to do our last duty to His servants. Even if they are non muslim we must do our duty to a dying man:
1. Give them a proper funeral.
2. Speak no evil things about them.
3. Try and remember them in goodness.
Also, you must realize that in Islam, when a man dies, his can still accumulate blessings. Or if he was a complete disbeliever at heart, God will lessen his punishment due to the prayers of those people who are closer to God.
Lets say a man dies and he has never in his entire life did a good Islamic thing, but once he helped a poor kid and made sure the kid never went hungry. Do you know that that kids prayers can make God forgive the mans sins???
This is why, when someone dies, instead of saying: oh hes not gonna go to heaven because he was never a proper worshipper, we are told to pray for him, to do good deeds and maybe open up a school with the last money he had on earth, and let that school be a continuous blessing for him. Thats just a small example of things that can be done.
We as humans can never be sure of our own end. Even if we have spent our lives praying to God, if we have prayed without sincerity in our hearts, none of those prayers are accepted.
So we must be vigilant and careful. And when it comes to people who seem to look like theyre worse than us in terms of deeds, we leave that upto God.
For God is most merciful. and He has said, that His mercy exceeds his Wrath.
have a nice day

Perfect Happiness: Now and Forever
[41:30] Those who proclaim: "Our Lord is GOD," then lead a righteous life, the angels descend upon them: "You shall have no fear, nor shall you grieve. Rejoice in the good news that Paradise has been reserved for you.
[41:31] "We are your allies in this life, and in the Hereafter. You will have in it anything you wish for; you will have anything you want.
[41:32] "(Such is your) ultimate abode, from a Forgiver, Most Merciful."

God's Infinite Mercy
[39:53] Proclaim: "O My servants who exceeded the limits, never despair of GOD's mercy. For GOD forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful."
[39:54] You shall obey your Lord, and submit to Him totally, before the retribution overtakes you; then you cannot be helped.
[39:55] And follow the best path that is pointed out for you by your Lord, before the retribution overtakes you suddenly when you least expect it.
[39:56] Lest a soul may say, "How sorry I am for disregarding GOD's commandments; I was certainly one of the mockers."
[39:57] Or say, "Had GOD guided me, I would have been with the righteous."
[39:58] Or say, when it sees the retribution, "If I get another chance, I will work righteousness."
[39:59] Yes indeed (you did get enough chances). My proofs came to you, but you rejected them, turned arrogant, and became a disbeliever.
[39:60] On the Day of Resurrection you will see the faces of those who lied about GOD covered with misery. Is Hell not the right retribution for the arrogant ones?
[39:61] And GOD will save those who have maintained righteousness; He will reward them. No harm will touch them, nor will they have any grief.
[39:62] GOD is the Creator of all things, and He is in full control of all things.
[39:63] To Him belongs all decisions in the heavens and the earth, and those who disbelieve in GOD's revelations are the real losers.
[39:64] Say, "Is it other than GOD you exhort me to worship, O you ignorant ones?"
Idol Worship Nullifies All Work
[39:65] It has been revealed to you, and to those before you that if you ever commit idol worship, all your works will be nullified, and you will be with the losers.
[39:66] Therefore, you shall worship GOD alone, and be appreciative.

with The way that you are discribing his life and the fact that islamicaly the marraige was not recognised and adulterous one would probably say yes, but remember Allah is most mercifull and forgiving. Only Allah knows what was in his heart and can judge him best. Sometimes people have good hearts and good intentions but are lead astray. at the end of the day we are all sinners and it is our faith in god and our internal struggles and efforts that are most important. You should not judge when you yourself are not perfect.
I know this is a christian quote but he who is without sin cast the first stone.

there was a prostitute who was forgiven because she has give a dog water to fill his thirst, so God forgive her. Pray for him.
It is related from Abu Hurayra, from the Prophet(P)
"that a prositute once saw a dog on a very hot day going round and round a well, lolling its tongue becaue of its thirst. She drew some water for it using her shoe and [for this action] all her sins were forgiven her. The Prophet was asked: 'Messenger of God, are we rewarded for kindness towards animals?' He said, 'There is a reward for kindness to every living being.'

its not our right 2 say whether a person will go 2 heaven or hell no matter how religious he/she was or sins he/she may hve done. its totally upto Allah. plus i agree wid sum1 who said tht a muslim will never remain eternally in hell i.e if he dint commit polytheism n believed only in Allah.
Allah is Most Merciful, who can stop Him if He wants 2 forgive sum1?
