Just be careful, I dated someone senior to me at work and hated having to see him every day when it ended, especially as everyone knew about it. Go for it but if you can try and keep it quiet for a while.
On the other hand I interviewed someone for a job when I was a manager and then ended up marrying him!!! The perks of being the boss! LOL!

You would need to check company policy on this. I personally don't date people through work. If it ends badly, you still have to see them at work every day, and deal with the gossip mill. All that junk for a relationship, that like any relationship, may or may not work out.

What are the company's policies? If they don't have a problem, then I don't see why not. Just realize if it doesn't work out that things may get very uncomforatble with the two of you being in the same department.

no one can make the decision for you , only you know if you could cope with a break up and still face him and the gossip mongers each day, could you really sit behind him each day if he dumped you or your relationship ended badly it may not, things may be perfect between you both ,but you have to way up the pros and cons, most work places discourage staff from having relations due to such problems.

I think you should keep relationships and work separated, you could have a fling with the guy though, but nothing serious. Unless you wouldn't mind looking for another job when it doesn't work out

Yes.
Find out about him (from others in the office) and if he passes, date him!
Good luck with that and the new job!
