I weigh 125 lbs and am 5ft 7 in. my resting metabolic rate is 1780 and my BMI is 19. i run every day to burn 450 calories. Ho w many calories should i eat to lose about 3lbs per week

Why do you want to loose 3lbs a week?! They'll be nothing left of you. A woman should eat 1500 calories a day and a man 2000 calories a day and both should take regular exercise. I don't think you need to loose weight, just stay healthy! 125lbs for someone who is 5ft 7 is fine!

A pound of fat is about 3500 calories, so to burn three pounds a week, you would have burn 105000 a week.

Okay, so those numbers may have freaked you out.

You are a 5'7'' woman, and just above being underweight. Try and maintain your weight, and learn to love yourself before you try and lose anymore, or else you will have serious health conditions.

If you know your resting metabolic rate, then you know how many calories a day to eat to maintain your weight. Good for you.

Build lean muscle mass, and concentrate on making your body perform at it's height, not try and look like nichole richie a few months ago. Be a role model to those who are trying to lose weight, and be happy with yourself.

I'm sure you know you lose weight when u burn more calories then you intake.progress slowly toward your goal. Reducing amount of caloric intake and increasing workout, DO NOT STARVE yourself plz.
