I would like to know if I can do pilates 5 days per week if I am doing weight training 3 days per week. Would this be a strain or should I do it on consecutive days in between my weight training. I don't want to overtrain my muscles and want to provide them with enough rest as I heard this is important

My Pilates instructor told me to reduce my gym time and shoot for doing Pilates 2x week. So 2x weights, 2x Pilates and 1x cardio would be one way to go.
