if you're talking about HOT sauces.....
the 'heat' of chilli sauces is measured in 'scoville units'
Habanero Tabasco hot sauce is measured around 7,000 - 8,000 scoville units (see: http://www.sweatnspice.com/398-35.htm )
on the other hand, you can get Blairs 16 million reserve - the worlds hottest chilli at 16 million scoville units (see: http://www.sweatnspice.com/429-13.htm ) for only $300 for 1ml

Matter of taste. On of the hottest sauces around is "Vicious Vampire". Very good, but has to be used with caution. (Several leagues above extra hot Tabasco.)

Thats far too hot - i like hot sauce that is slighty sweet - like a sweet chill sauce!! Enjoyable and doesnt feel like your tongue is going to fall off!!

Lea and Perrins Chilli and Garlic Sauce. Could not find it for a while and then I did yesterday, bought some and sighed with delight when I used some - and sweated like nobodies business!
Mmmmm. I like it on my porridge as well!

The hottest sauce I ever tried was called "Dantes Inferno" and it is hotter than any west indian or tobasco sauce.

i'd have to say tabasco, i'm having it on my pasta as i type!
but the cajun hot sauce (fromthe same brand as the west indian hot sauce) is very tasty too.
