Wrong!!! It's ignorance towards our own flaws, ignorance towards our assets, ignorance towards our surroundings, ignorance towards the ones linked to our life, and over expectations that actually cause pain.
You are rich, I am not. In this case we are ignorant towards our assets and ignorant towards our incapabilities of earning enough. That hurts.
You are promoted I am not. Here we are again ignorant towards our incapabilites. That hurts again. Probably your promotion was a wrong decision on the part of seniors and my judgement says that I am the one who should have been promoted. Again I am ignorant towards my surroundings. My point of view is not valid unless I prove it.
I have eyes and a blind person passes by. We feel bad to imagine ourselves in the sufferers place. The realization of the pain results into sympathy. So finally differences are coming into play here.
Indian cricket team loses a match. It hurts. That's cos we are ignorant to the fact that the better side deserves to win.
cause of pain cannot be described in simple terms as pain arises from complex characteristics of human beings.
That was a nice try anyways.
All the best...

there are four kinds of pain which a person feels
1. physical pain - does not arises from comparison it is absolute
2.social pain - there are many cases where a person gets pain when he compares others . but cases like when a person gets punishment for some act then it is absolute pain here person does not get pain by comparing that some other has got less or more social pain.
3. mental pain - completely due to own desires like someone want to have fun with a beautifull girl. so here he does not compare others.it is his sense desire .
4.emotional pain - never arises with comparison it is absolute. it is developed by the heart.

yeah, but if someone has a disease that someone else doesn't, and the disease causes them pain, would it not mean that the difference causes them pain. i see some one muscular and attractive and i feel pain because i'm neither of those things. i see someone skinny and unatracitve and i feel better because i know i'm not alone.

I always thought pain was caused by neurons, and messages to the brain.
