Yes if they can safetly be seperated they should be.
I am a twin and feel close enough to my sister without actually being joined. I could not imagine not having the chance to be an individual independent person.

If they can be separated, they should be. The technology in this field is getting better and better.
I did see a program once though where the girls shared an entire body, but there were two heads on the body. In this case I think the technology cannot help in the near or even medium future. What a difficult choice if one must decide on removing an entire head. In this case the parents decided not to do anything. I'm note wise enough in ethics to comment on that aspect of these particular parent's choice.

It depends if you are a conjoined twin where you are actually joined and what organs you share. If you have enough of everything to live when split, then yes, I think if I was the parent I would want to split them. If one or possibly both would end up disabled I would leave them as they had been born - joined. A difficult situation for parents to be in and they must do what they feel is right. I hope I'm never in the position to have to make that kind of decision.

It is such a difficult question to answer.
Perhaps an unusual life is better than none at all, who wants to choose one of their children to die?
If the twins in question are happy as they are, that is their choice and who knows what they may achieve in the future.
If there was a choice between both dying & one living then it would be a slightly different matter again.
We just have to be careful that when we decide something like that it's because it's good for the people involved, not just because we find it uncomfortable to deal with.

you know thats a very tough question. it depends on the situation. first of all. would it be life threatning if they were to be seperated.? if it were i dont think i would take a chance. you have to remember. sometimes they have to share the same organs to survive. and would you rather choose between which child would live? not me. if they said it was safe to seperate them. yes i would seperate without hesitation. but if they said there was a chance one would not survive. no i wouldnt. hope that helped

you are talking about siamese twins and sometimes they are separated but generally not at birth..sometimes they share vital organs and cannot be separated without the certain dealth of at least one of them...it is a very serious and scary situation

Many times one of them would certainly die once separated. It's pretty rare that they would both have full organs.
