Are the videos of beheadings, suicide bombings, etc.etc. a hoax? Is Islam being maligned?

Definetly the media is given a wrong picture. Those people shown are not the real Islam. The real Islam is peaceful, tolerant. I think if people want to learn about Islam they should study or meet the Muslim community.

The media deceives people by focusing on things that are actually very rare. Sure, these things happen, but they're almost always reported while events that would create a different impression of Islam are ignored. You're unlikely to see a news headline reading "Muslim goes to shops, buys milk." Violence sells papers.

one of the beheading videos was on a web site located in Huston Texas.
the guy who was carrying out the beheading had a golden ring in his hand which is forbidden for Muslim men to wear

Because some muslims believe killing an enemy is a good thing.They want to portray their image as good dispite of brutal killings.Not all muslims are bad some of them are good and nice people.
