Generally speaking, if something goes wrong and you're trying to work out if it was a deliberate conspiracy or a stuff up you are unlikely to lose if you bet on the latter.
It doesn't seem to have been well coordinated. Maybe it's worth voicing your dissatisfaction to both funeral directors, and suggest they get their acts together.
I don't think it's unreasonable for a muslim man to want a muslim funeral when he dies. Tradition at muslim funerals dictate that women wear head coverings, whether they are personally muslim themselves or not. I don't think that's a big ask.

OK stop.
Why would they schedule the funerals on the same day? Being a Christian, it doesnt matter what day or time we are buried. If there was a battle between the two families on burial, as Christians we should have buried the wife on a different day.
If my funeral is held at the Cathedral in my home town, I would hope everyone would pray, stand, sit and kneel accordingly. And, not wear a bikini in my cathedral.
When in Rome ...

well its not rite 2 postpone the funeral 4 a muslim once the bier is ready. secondly its out of respect dat u were told 2 cover ur hair. well does dat seem like a big deal 2 u? also i wud like 2 correct faz- muslim men are allowed 2 marry christian women coz they r 'people of da book' so no they're marriage isnt illegal nor the children are illegitimate .tht wud only be if they were born outside wedlock.

In islam it is necessary to bury a person as quickly as possible. It has been known for spouses not to be in time for the burial either.
As for inter religious marriages. Mohammed himself had a christian 'wife', she was a slave girl by the name of maryam, i believe that she was gifted to him by the king of abassynnia. She bore his young son ibrahim who died very young. Mohammed did no require that she change religion. And Mohammed was well known for having great respect for jews and christans , the arabs called them Ahl al kitab , the people of the book.
The hatred found between muslims and christians is not truly part of either faith, but more an aspect of the politics and intollerance found within both religions.

I agree that it was totally out of line to not wait for the sons to arrive. Islamically though you are suppose to bury the body as soon as possible. I think in this case though it was probably just family politics. The scarve thing was probably to show respect for the deceased and the ceremony.
Just as a side note...the boys would islamically be considerd illigitimate children and the marraige between the man and women would not be islamically recognised. also everything they did together would be considerd adultery. Well not everything but you know what i mean. i hope this had nothing to do with the decision to bury the man before his sons arrived because i think its just wrong and insensitive. Regardless of any technicalities they were his children. The behaviour is reproachfull.

Its real life when you die no one will be there for you but God and what you did in your life. No boy will be able to help you only his prayer for you may help if your son knows God well and dose a good things for his life too. Life is short and its up to you are you ready to meet your God or not that is the real question may God bless us all from a poor Muslim to you all.
