How long do you want to wait? That's the right answer. As a man I'd take you to bed at the drop of a hat and not think less of you, because if I did that would be the ultimate double standard. But waiting for some emotional attachment is wise, if you want it to mean something.

It depends on if you are looking for fun or something more.

You haven't really given much information, so I'm just going to cover all the points I can currently think of. Basically it depends what you both want from the relationship.

Some people go out with people primarily because they want to have sex (I'm presuming you meant that and not actually sleeping). Some people want companionship etc as well. As long as you both want the same thing and it feels comfortable and right, I shouldn't worry in that context. If you don't feel 100%comfortable about the idea of having sex with someone, don't do it; no matter how much they pressure you, look after number one! On the other hand, make sure you don't catch anything and/or end up having an unwanted child together!

At the end of the day it's best just to be honest, but always start honesty with "This is a difficult subject for me, which I'm finding difficult to talk about, so please don't jump to conclusions about anything I say, as I may find it difficult to say exactly what I mean. I really care about you and the relationship and want it to stay good...(...and/but I really need to know that we want the same thing/s from the relationship...)".

Hmmm... Interesting topic this....
I've always been a 'waiting til you know the person and have a connection' type of person.. A theory that usually follows through quite successfully... (almost always!)
It should be like 'andy m' said... that you should wait until you feel comfortable with them and I think have that connection.... then usually things just happen when they feel right to.. you don't usually get time to think about it beforehand if it just feels right... Just follow what your heart and your body is telling you.. if it's the right time or not.. you will just know!

xx

You should wait for as long as it takes before you feel ready. That might be a week, or like one of my partners, 2 and a half years.

Wait until at least the 2nd date. Don't get too drunk on the first date because you will end up sleeping together.

When you feel this person adds something beautiful to your life. When it is "making love' and not just sex. When you can have a conversation with this person about sexually transmitted diseases and protection and sexual likes and dislikes.... When they are your best friend and love. Sex is a way of bringing two people closer together. It is sharing a bond. It is not the game many people make it out to be. For in the game lies heartache and regrets.

Some people wait a few days, some people wait months and then you have a few that wait until marriage.I would have to say it's really up to the 2 in the relationship and age. If your really young you should wait a while expecially if your under 16.

Dont ever sleep with someone on the first date. Just wait untill you feel ready. If your partner is prepared to wait till your ready then you know that he is serious about you as he thinks your worth waiting for so he must really like you and respect you.
