We being his children you think he would be here looking out for everyone. Everyday I read the paper, watch the news, ect ,ect. I would have to say the world is getting worse instead of better with no end in sight. Just rain down fire and brimstone already and let us get on with our lives!

We aren't evolving very well, are we? There is no "my God," there is only God, and he is closer than your breath. We are his creation, not all are his children. We become children of God by receiving his Holy Spirit, not by behaving properly according to our own standard of good and evil. To reject God is to reject love, and then what do you have? To resist God is to resist mercy. Then you only have justice, and by that standard we are all condemned, because we have all been stained by sin. The blood of Jesus Christ atones for that sin and we are deemed righteous by faith in him. For the time being we are not in Heaven and shouldn't expect things to be heavenly.

I dont' get it. You are asking him to rain down his punishment for disobiedience, but then you are saying if we were his children, he should be out looking for us? What is it that you are expecting from God?

Things are so bad because we deny him or any authority he has over us. If you didn't think anyone is looking, have you ever stolen? perhaps you haven't, but there are plenty of people who don't believe that anyone will ever know about it, so the steal, without any guilt. If one is willing to steal, you know there is someone else who is willing to rape. If one will rape, there is someone else who is willing to kill. If one will lie, then you know that someone else is willing to ..... you fill in the blank, and now you know why when you read the news, you see things getting worse. It is not because God doesn't exist, it is because people deny him or their accountablity to him.

I was impressed with the inscription on the tomb of Carl Jung, who broke with Sigmund Freud and went in a different direction in treating patients with emotional disorders. The inscription in Latin read: " Vocatus atque non vocatus, Deus aderit" A rough translation ;" Bidden or not bidden, God is always present".

`What makes you think you are one of His children. God makes those who believe in Him His children, and obviously you don`t. What you are saying simply proves that God is true, it is Him that said `Things whould proceed from bad to worse`, so you are just confirming what my God has already said.

God is with me all the time. Is he with you? He looks after those that love him. Yes the world is getting worse, so then you should draw closer to God. We are living in the end times before the return of Christ. This world will get much worse leading up to the 7 year tribulation period, then after the 7 year tribulation which will be the worst time the world has ever seen Jesus will return to rule from his Holy city of Jerusalem for 1000 years.

Ah, yes. The question that has been asked for time immemorial (remember Job?). The least one can do nowadays is to have faith.

God is everywhere. He is feeding all of us with food on our tables. He is giving us water to drink. He is helping us earn a living with the talents He has given us. He is giving us joy with the family and friends He created for us. He is enlightening our minds to find solutions to our problems. He is making us laugh with the talent he has given our entertainers. He is refreshing us with nature and all its grandeur. He is healing our wounds. He is sending us good people to take care of the sick, the poor and the dying. He is giving us children but we are killing them by the millions each year. He is lighting up our homes with electricity with the fuel he has created. He is consoling us with music and the bible. He is in the tabernacles all over the world waiting for us to pray to Him. He is in you and in me.
