God yes!!! I saw a 14 year old boy buying 6 drinks. I asked him what in the world he needed them for. He said he felt slow, and they would get him through the day. THAT'S SCARY.

With this kind of thinking.....
I think we should just pass a new law in the United States, what do you think?
Since everyone is so afraid of sugars, caffeine, fat, cabs, and we cant leave it to our children to make the .. ahem.. "right choices"
There should be an out right ban on minors entering a place of business where said business contains items deemed a danger to minors.
(I am sure someone could find something dangerous to children in one way or another, at any place of business)
So lets put a new law on the books, why not!
All minors (17 and under) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when entering any place of business. This does not apply to minors currently employed at a place of business, nor if minors direct family owns place of business.
IM FOR IT, LETS GET A LAW WRITTEN UP AND PASSED!
*Edit*
Starting to think about it its an awesome idea, with the National ID card coming into effect soon, we can effectively stop all minors from going in stores. PLUS if we make the drinking age 18 (I know that's will sound like a terrible terrible thing to all of you) but we could eliminate "underage" sales from our convenient stores.
And since our National ID cards will have an RFID chip on it, face recognition scanners could be put in all convenient stores. When you go into a store, the scanner takes a picture of the person's faces, and compares it to the one on the RFID chip, if it doesn't match up, the sale can not go through.
God, I Love America!

It does say on some energy drinks that you should not give to young children but I suppose thats not enough. I do believe they should be sold along with alcoholic drinks with the same restrictions though. I remember drink a can of RED BULL when one of my children was around 4 and he thought I was going to grow wings!!!!!

They are so high in caffeine and sugar that they are not healthy...
I have heard them called "crack in a can" They are also very expensive. I think that there should be minimum age requirement for purchasing this product.

Yes I do. The caffiene levels in these drinks are far too high for children to be drinking...you wouldn't let your child drink a triple espresso and that doesn't contain nearly as much caffiene as a red bull!!
