Generally only Male CANARY only sing and the female respond to them. But the Male and female can be trained to sing by exposure to other birds of superior ability or to musical instruments.

The Canaries breed rapidly in captivity and with proper care may live to 15 years or more.

There are no external physical differences between males and females. Its possible to do DNA testing, but its pricey. Almost all of the birds that sing are males. Occasionally you will find a female that sings some, but the song is usually short and not of the same quality. These females are usually not good breeders. They only other way to tell is if the bird lays an egg. Thats a pretty good clue its a female!

When I was raising canaries I had a few birds live to be 10 or 11 years old. I would say the average age span is about 7 years. Good luck!

the only thank you to tell is men sing, women human beings lay eggs, or get them DNA examined. Beaks, plummage and all different actual areas of the chicken are an identical. there's a tiny distinction interior the width of the pubic bones, yet it somewhat is it.

I'm not sure, but I think you have to have a blood, DNA testing. Ask your local pet shop or the breeder you bought from. Thanks for asking. Hope this helps. =)
