What are the cheapest costing conures you can purchase? I just know the Sun conure is somewhere up there compared to the rest. Can anyone give me an order of cheapest to most expensive please?

Green Cheek Conures are probably the most inexpensive. If you're looking for a fair price for a bird, go directly to the breeder -- don't look around at pet shops, because they notoriously mark up their prices. By the way -- No bird should ever be considered "cheap". I don't care if you pay $5 for a parakeet, or $5000 for a macaw, you have to consider the proper care and feeding of that bird for the length of its life.

Private breeders are going to be less than the big chain pet stores. There are many good Conure sites on line. I have a Nanday/Jenday mix and he is a medium size parrot. He is sweet and is a character. I bought him from a hatching, so he was much "cheaper", but he has expenses and take a lot of attention. He is loud too, but he says the same thing about me....

lol

good luck

Try shelters, newspapers, and check around online...it's pretty easy to get a new feathered friend for free or very CHEEPly from someone unable to care for it any more. Be advised though that the proper food, toys, etc for a parrot are not cheap, and birds do require yearly vet visits. I live in the Boston area and got my beautiful cockatoo and her California cage for FREE on Craigslist.com.
