Don't sweat it. My brother and I complain about our non-working mother having been far too oppressively present in our lives when we were younger. She did this because she feels her mother wasn't around enough [our grandmother had a lot of hobbies when her kids were younger]. Basically, everyone will find something to complain about regarding how they were raised. Just do your best; no one can really ask for more even if they want to.

I am a working mom, and I hate it. However, my mom stayed home with my brother and I when we were kids. I dont' think that she could have given us any greater gift than that. There is no replacing a mother. She was always there when we needed her, and when we were sick, she was the one who took care of us. When we came home from school, she was there waiting for us to get home. If we got sick in school, we didn't have to lay on a crappy smelly cot in the nurse's office all day like the kids whose parents worked did - we got to go home where mom took care of us. My brother and I are now both in our 20's and we always thank our mom for what she did for us. The only problem is - we can't thank her enough.

U are lucky if they blame/accuse for that reason -----that shows that they really loved u and cared for u; & wanted u around.; rather than have children who cared two hoots if their mother was around or not ---- so much more freedom for them to do what they wished/wanted.Cause they had neither the craving for her love nor they wanted her attention.& were happy being on their own.
So working moms !!! do not feel guilty !!! i.e. if u have to work out of compulsion & have to be away from yr kids.
