always be friendly to start with. strike up a casual conversation and just have a light-hearted conversation. if you think you get along well with that girl, keep being good friends with her. then, try some subtle flirting. if she responds, it's a good sign. i'm sorry, but girls will usually wait forever for the guy to approach them and make the first move. so even if you're shy, you gotta do it. good luck!
