It's a saying. Sheesh.

To the atheists and people who don't believe in Hell:

This is a saying in the english language and literature. What is meant from this by my definition is you always have good intentions, but you may get twisted along the way.

This, is, just, a saying.

Who said that. The road to hell is easy, all somebody has to do to go there is reject the true real gospel of Jesus, and live a sinful life, which discribes most people. Hell is not party place I tell you. Hell is called hell for a reason. Go but a book called 23 minutes in hell written by a guy who went there called Bill Wiese. it is discribed as an inferno, so hot you should be dead, the smell of hell and the demons will make you sick, the darkness will penitrate your soul as it will be darker than dark. and the pearcing screams of billions of dammed screaming so loud it will make you go insane, and you will experience a thirst so great it will bo horrilbe, but in hell there is no water, just burning flames that will consume your every being, and demons will curse you to your face, and tear your flesh of your body, and stab you and you will be in excrusiating pain. You will be there until you are pulled up to stand condemed under the throne of Jesus and then you will be bound hand and foot and thrown body and soul into the lake that is burning with fire and brimstone, which will be much worse that hell. Excpet Jesus NOW before it is too late.

Its easy to go down the road of least resistance, just like science explains, either by accepting your friend's judgement or going along with the flow. You wouldn't doubt your friends when they light up, or use alcohol for a good time. They want to have fun. If you just go along with them, then what harm, yes? If not, then you risk your friendship or even worse, you are a republican.....

lol

Jesus said that the road to heaven was not what the world had to offer. This is so true since many things you have done for good have gone unnoticed or ignored by society. God is there, though, and He will reward those for has been done on earth. Heaven isn't just where those who accept Jesus Christ as their saviour go to, it is what they make of it while they have free actions. Work hard here and enjoy the fruits of labor in heaven.

I don't think this is so much as a "saying" as something you say inorder to scoff somebody whose good intentions went wrong. Like somebody confessing "But i didn't mean for him to kill her. I was just trying to warn him" and you answering "yeah..the road to hell is paved with good intentions".

By the way, was all that comma necessary in your last line?! Or were you simply trying to make your point more clear?

All the good intentions in the world mean nothing without Jesus in your life. He is your Messiah. He is your Savior. Being a good man or woman is nice, but if you have rejected Jesus as your Savior, but have been a good person all your life, it counts for nothing without Him. God loves you so very much. You are His child and He wants the very best for you. He made it so you must have the faith He required or you can reject Him. This is the choice He has given us all. What point would it make if He reveled Himself to everyone. What choice would there be to make? Can you accept Him as you Savior and your Messiah? He is the only path to God Almighty. Only He can forgive you of your sins. You can only face God Almighty sin free. The only way to do that is through Jesus because we are born in sin. This is our lament because of Adam and Eve.

Basically, this means that good intentions can result in bad consequences if they are not tempered with wisdom. Allowing your children to do anything they want leads to children who have no respect for you or others. Giving an alcoholic money to buy food will only result in him/her buy more booze.

Well it was that or Cobble stones, the only two choices allowed. The good intentions cost much less than the cobble stones, both in material and labour.

In order to see Heaven you need to know what Hell is like, but however, you do not need to go to Hell in order to get to Heaven. Then again you can create your own Heaven or Hell at this very moment. Heaven or Hell is also a state of mind. Intentions alone does not bring one to Heaven or Hell. It is acting upon a certain intention, acting upon one's thought, and REALIZING one's understanding.

Well if you give everyone loads of money...it is a good intention.

Unfortunately the currency would be utterly worthless - and everyone would be poor - and the whole economic system would go moscow through inflation.

Don't you mean how? 'why' doesn't really make sense. Besides, hell is a manmade invention. I'd rather not believe in something that nobody can actually say they have seen.
