I can't imagine the gall of some people to want help from the government in supporting two children in a foreign country. He doesn't 'have' to do anything. He chose to marry this woman. Why should taxpayers pick up the bill for two children in a foreign country just because he chose to marry their mother???

Just another case of people wanting others to support them because of circumstances they put themselves into in the first place. These programs were meant to help those who need it for real reasons. If he can't provide for her financial needs or those of her children he should not have put himself in this position in the first place and then expect the government to pay for it.

She got him to marry her and get her citizenship and I'm sure now she is trying to get him to cough up money for the kids and he is realizing what he got himself into, hoping the government will help him with her responsibilities.

No, he is not entitled to any kind as these children are not his (biological or adopted) and they do not reside in UK. She could be entitled to a child benefit (about £28 pw for both children), even if they live abroad. If husband and wife are working, but on low income (just over £15.000 pa joint income or £11.520 pa single claim), they (or she) could ask for CHILD TAX CREDITS, but, even leaflet promises otherwise, Inland Revenue usually pays only for the time children are in the UK .

This is taking the piss out of the benefits system totally! If he chose her, he should be a man and work to support her and not rely on handouts!

Why marry this woman and then not expect to have to finance it.
He was aware of the facts from the begining.
I think Transi Betty is far to diplomatic!
