Ok i have asked previous questions on Wicca and Druidism and since then have done alot of reading, the more i do in fact the more Neopaganism makes sense to me, ive also realised the sheer amount of information to take in, its astounding. I know all neopagans are different but how do you organise your book of shadows (if you dont mind telling us :) thanks in advance for any positive comments!

Oh my goodness me! i have just been reading the answers!. What on earth is a matter with you other religious people?. Why are you so against someone interested in starting a book of shadows?. There is no need to preach to people like us. Do you find Wiccans/Pagans etc preaching the way some of you on here have done?. It is a perfectly reasonable question, so leave the person be if you haven't anything to say that will help!!!!!. right, end of that bit.
In answer to your question hun,I divide my BOS into sections (having so many pages for each topic). You may find that you will run out of pages so will have to start another one divided up the same. You can buy page dividers or just stick a label on the top of the pages where you need to write/look up things. Also, a contents page at the beginning is a good idea, although you do not have to put in a page number, it's just so you can see what you have in your BOS. Hope this has helped, and i wish you the very best with your work.
Blessings.

I am Wiccan and it is a personal choice not to keep a book of shadows, that true healing and magick is really in the heart of the witch.
I dont need anything to work magick and why use tools if I can attune yourself to the world and diffrent vibrations without them. I mean dont get me wrong they certianly do help but I feel that I do not need them.
I think as soon as you can establish the diffrence between light and dark and understand it then you can call on both energies at any time, without light how do you know you arent dark, without dark how do you know you are light.
Bright Blessings!

Basically, it is a little like your own personal diary, where you can write in anything and everything you learn about Paganism during your studies. You can personalise it by writing down the spells that you could have tried, what has worked, what didn't work, in any way that you want.
You can organise it in any way you want as well, even in the form of normal novels in your bookshop, with indexes or list things alphabetically, it's entirely up to you how you can put things and what is easier for you to remember when finding things.
With the one I have, I put them all into categories, with the Sabbats in one, followed by spells and incantations, then some of the Rules and personal entries that I have seen and tried during the day, adding in some of the dreams I have had.

Your book of shadows is the book of your expereinces. Imagine a log book of you travels, but this one will be of your wicca's expereinces.
If you see Charmed, they have their book of shadows, which was passed on in their family for generations, even though that is a TV programme, it makes much sense.
Obviously you don't have a book of shadows in your family, and that is why many people adopt book of shadows of other families, and that is how the these books become standardized.
I would start one right now, if I was you. Write what you learn on your beliefs, and write your expereinces with magic and the paranormal.

as you express your false thoughts about what you falsely believe, it is useless to share you the necessary information about our belief and the b est thing you should do is to read also our bible and feel the interest reading it so that you may understand its contents. As you have said that you have focus your reading on Wicca and Druidism.

Please don't read the book of shadows but read the book of light and truth (what a contrast)
The Bible (God's word) has been right every time! It is also hisorically proven (kings, events etc. that were mentioned really existed) and has stood the test of time, we still have copies of it over 4000 years old. Prophesies in God's word have also been fulfilled.
There is also evidence of God's soon return. Signs in the Bible the Bible foretell Christ's coming. These signs include: a greater number and ever increasing amount of: earthquakes (natural disasters) famines, pestilences, technology (increased so much in last 100 yrs), hatred among people /increase in wars.
these events are all taking place, and getting worse and worse. there is a God, one God, and He cares for you more than you would imagine
give Him a chance, pray and read your Bible please
God Bless
