i need a new tyre but dont know what size my wheel is.

measure the radius top to bottom

just take the whole bike to the shop and tell them you need a new tire. its a bit comlicated to explain. you cant just measure the rim because it isnt an exact number. a 26" wheel is not 26" from top to bottom, but its the size of the tire itself.

if the wheel is almost as tall as your leg, then you most likely have a 26" which is the most common size today.

It should be fairly obvious by just looking in the shop which is the same size but just put a tape measure accross the wheel for diameter and accross top for width

If you measure from the bottom of the rim to the bottom of the rim in a straight line. This will give you what is known as the etrto size.
If you state this to your tire dealer, they will work it out for you

Hi, motorbike or pushbike?
If it's a pushbike then measure the diameter of the wheel (not the radius).

He means the diameter.
