I have a better idea..Why don't we send all the anti-war softies to the front lines with you leading the charge

Oh, ok, so you're saying I should join my husband on the front lines? What about the children of military families... them too? Please, if you cant stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. I have made a sacrafice in my daily life to help defend and support this country... have you?

I propose sending the anti-war protesters to the front. At least there they can do some good when they are stacked up like sandbags. They make better cannon fodder.

Because most of them have already served in the military or are too old.

Can you name one time you put your butt on the line for a cause you believed in?

Personally, I hold people in total contempt when they tell other to serve when they have never done so themselves.

Yeah. I have thought that many a time. It is a narrow view, and filled with hate, but i feel that way after corporate thugs and company (ie the Bush administration, chicken hawks all) got us into this mess to line their pockets. I check every single day how many soldiers have died, and how many iraqis have died. I wonder how many religious zealot, neo-con, so called conservatives do the same. Probably not many. Too busy calling people who disagree with foreign policy "traitors" and "enemy supporters". It is all fine and good to "support the war" with a bumper sticker and a holier than thou attitude while driving an SUV but quite another thing to think about things. It makes me sick.

The same reason why we don't have a draft. They're perfectly happy supporting this war based on lies, so long as they and their family members don't have to go and fight it.
It's when they're actually asked to personally SACRIFICE that you'll see that support truly diminish.
