In the never ending argument between atheists and theists, it all started with theists trying to convert the atheists, which in turn made them try to make the world to not believe in God. And then the theists counter them, and the atheists counter-counter them, and so on.

So, who do you think will be the one who stops first, swallow their pride and leave this whole thing as personal choice(whether you want to be an atheist or theist)?

Atheists, I'd say. A lot of them are totally his-to-his-own about it, but Christians take it personally if you don't beleive as they do. Atheists laugh. Heh...

Actually, being an atheist, i would think most of us wouldn't give a rat's behind what anyone practiced. If you want to be a religious person, that's fine with us. Just don't try to convert other people by force and don't try to make the world think that the earth is only 6 thousand years old and that dinosaurs and men lived at the same time. It just dumbs down the entire human race.

Why don't they just both shut up at the same time? Problem solved. Some believe in God, some don't. End of story.

I disagree with your premise.
Theists have been around much longer than athiests. I believe it started when athiests tried to tell theists that thay were delusional

I don't back down.

Whenever I see someone intentionally lying about something that is basically good and wholesome, I defend it. Morality demands that all of us, in our own way, defend the good things in life and condemn the bad things.

You should know that by now from personal experience.

I never tried to convert anybody and I never will, therefore you can count me as one who has already stopped (and never begun in the first place).

Christians are not just going to pack up and go home. They can sniff political power and the power to control all our lives.

None, both groups are far too stubborn. Atheism is as good as being a religion now.
