Let the chicken cool to room temperature before you put it away, but make sure it's put away within 2 hours of being done cooked. Also, make sure you use up any leftovers within two days and make sure it's covered tightly before putting it in the fridge, k? You wouldn't want your chicken to dry out now, would you?

You HAVE to wait till it gets cold others wise it will become a breeding ground. You need to be really careful with chicken, it can harbour lots of nasty bugs. After it has cooled, cover and put in fridge. When cooking it again the next day make sure it has been re-heated thoroughly.
