Firstly when the Scriptures point out that man was created 'in God's image',it means that humans were made with the potential for being like God,possessing the outstanding qualities he has, including wisdom, power, righteousness, and love.
In answer to your second statement;it must be remembered that circumstances were different in earlier times.Adam and Eve were created perfect, and the instruction for them "to multiply and fill the earth" would necessarily require them that their offspring marry one another and reproduce(Gen.1:28).But as perfect humans, their children would have been perfect as were their parents.
Even though Adam and Eve sinned and became imperfect,Cain and his brothers and sisters were still so near to physical perfection that the children they produced did not suffer the same adverse effects as do children born of such unions today.Even some 2000 years later,God's faithful servant Abraham married his half sister Sarah and God did not disapprove(Gen.20:12).It was yet another 450 years or so before God saw fit to provide his nation of Israel a body of laws that forbade incest on penalty of death.(Lev.18:8-17).By that time imperfection had apparently developed to such an extent that no longer was it safe for close relatives to marry.

Read the bible and you will see that Adam and Eve had sons and daughters, indeed many since they lives 900 years.
If this is true, then Cain and Seth had sex with their sisters, and not mother. Abel died very young, so he did not have time to have children. Cain killed him.
Sex between siblings is not good news, it was practiced thousands of years ago, and even the Pharaohs of Egypt were married to their sisters, aunties, and sometimes mothers.
I'm not saying the bible is right, but you should read it before you ask a question like this.

is it wrong and no they didn't go with their mother. Cain marrys a girl from the Land of Nod, east of Eden. It says this in Genesis4:16
If you read the start of Genesis properly (which most church going people don't) it actually says people were created on the 6th day, and then after the 7th day God creates the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve. There were people outside the Garden.
Edit- just because the bible says we're begotten from Adam and Eve, it doesn't mean that we came just from them. If their sons maried women from different places, we still originally came from them. Just because you came from your Grandparents, it doesn't mean that your Dad went with your Grandmother to get you.

Hint: Adam is the Hebrew word for Man, not one man, but all Man. Eve is the Hebrew word for Life. A woman did not tempt a man into turning away from God. Mankind was tempted by life.

I got here on the 0800 to Kings Cross, then boarded a Southbound Victoria Line tube Train, exiting at Green Park, and then walking down Curzon St.
I have never had sex with any of my family.
I hope this helps.

Yeah, I've said that numerous times but somehow people never really stop to recognize that. Or maybe there's some silly story or argument in the Bible that rationalizes this, as there always is. Thanks for pointing out the apparently not-so-obvious!

If everyone was created from one man and one woman, than they obviously had sex. Unless they were hermaphrodites, ofcourse.
