I would like to apply for a US working visa, but I have heard that you need collateral such as major land or property or at least 3000 USD in your account inorder to obtain a US working visa. How much of this is true? I have little saved up, I own no properties, and i'm not married. What are my chances of getting a working Visa? Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

Don't beleive the rumors. Go in person to the nearest American Embassy or Consulate and see what forms you will need and they will also tell you the fees for the permit.

$10000 in cash would be very good incentive for getting work visa - more importantly, your tax returns must show a good income for at least 24 months if you want the consular officers to take you seriously - whatever you do, don't forge these documents as it will permanently damage your chances of making it to US

Hope you understand that point!
