I just invited a former co-worker out and he said he was really intrested and then we ended up having lunch. when he dropped me home he said maybe we should go out again next week. what does that mean? like me as a friend? or likes me more than a friend? He called me earlier if I needed a ride to attend the seminar at his workplace which they scheduled for me last week. My dilemma is how would I know if he is just using me for his job achievement or really likes me as me. He also said that If he wasn't able to speak with me, he'll call me tomorrow or later within the week. What does it mean? Does he like me or has some hidden agendas? So can this already be considered dating?

Regard him as friend first. It would sound better this way. Maybe as you get to know him longer in the company and know how the way he works and behave, maybe you can ask this question again and who knows it could only be platonic. So just wait and see?
