Just give me a couple of examples of such things. I just can't think of one right away. Can be anything--tech product, food, merchandise, whatever. And I don't mean abstract concepts like religion or sentiment or money. I mean something material.

The number 0, by itself it is valueless but when attached to another digit it adds value: 0 = valueless 1+0 = 10.

How about a spice that has little nutrional value on its own, but adds flavour when added to bland food which IS nutritional. Making the bland but nutritional food more palatable. Tofu comes to mind.

How about an operating system that is just zeros and ones without a computer to run it on.
