Anyway, the Hobbit says that Smaug or whatever his name, was covered all over with inpenetrible... GWB moment ... not able to be penetrated ... scales (except for the one spot). By observing sample not able to be penetrated scales, we can deduce that they are resistant to chaffing. NEXT

I ignored your math post because I'm an auditor.
We "prove" things for a living, and our evidenciary demands are rigourous.
Your definition is pretty narrow. There is also a judicial defnition of proof, an economic definition, an historical defnition, and several for the sciences, depending on which one you trend towards.
