I don't know if things happen for a reason, but I know that you can get through this with proper treatment. I'm 22 also and have been going to therapy and a psychiatrist for the last few years to treat severe bipolar depression and self harm. I finally found the right meds and I'm doing quite well. Don't give up hope quite yet, but do see someone.

Hey, youre still young actually we are on the same age. If you feel so depress and feelng that no body cares for you well you are wrong. I care thats why i answer you question. Me, when i have big problems and i feel depress, i think of other people that have much bigger problem than what i have. I think of those poor people, no shelter, dont know how to read and write but yet they still can smile. So cheer up. There will always be someone who can help you. Things happen for a reason, and it is always for the better....'')

I also suffer from major depression, among other things. I think you should make a real effort to find out why it is they treat you the way they do. Ask, there's nothing wrong with asking, although it is scary and embarassing you don't have see them everyday do you? I think therapy will do you a lot of good. It did a lot of good for me too. I don't know were you live but you should try listening to this show on the radio called Loveline. Dr. Drew is great help to everyone. Try this website for the show. www.kroq.com

No I do not believe things happen for a reason, other than the choices that we make, and how we decide to deal with our family issues. (Your spelling is terrible, ever hear of "spell check"). YOU can be responsible, and quit sitting on the "pity pot" and help yourself feel better. I am bipolar, and I didn't start feeling better until I went to the pdoc and got help, and then worked with the pdoc with therapy. You are old enough to also find a 12-Step group in your community and use that resource to help yourself. I don't know if you use drugs and alcohol or not, but you can use their 12-Step program to get off "the pity pot" and take ACTION! Instead of sitting around wanting to do yourself in. I also wanted to kill myself at one time, actually three times, I am now 60 yrs., and only because I decided to take control of my life and find out what I could do to make myself feel better. You may be bipolar. AT least that isn't your fault, and you can take the meds and you will feel better, but get yourself to a pdoc ASAP! If no insurance, find a free clinic, you can get meds through the pharmaceutical companies. But don't sit on your "thumb" on "the pity pot," or do and continue to feel miserable.

Yeah i believe now that things might happen for a reason, hang in there! Life can give us a bad set of cards which we must learn to deal with. Its not easy at first which is why its so important to seek help & cut negative people & situations out of your life.
When i passed 27 then 30 still alive i stopped being self destructive i now help people that were like me (are like me) so for me it happened for a reason....please take care sweetie.
