Nothing against Harvick NASCAR screwed up.Harvicks ability as a driver is in the top 10 as is Marks. The wreck was behind them and 60% of the field was behind the wreck and no caution,NASCAR messed up.Their rule is not to race to the flag.

I would defintely regret letting go of win at the Daytona 500, regardless of who would win. Heck, even if Richard Petty made a comeback and was in Martin's position, I still wouldn't let him pass. It would be a huge regret knowing that I could win the Daytona 500, but I GAVE it to someone else. Not only that, but if I never won it in the future, that would be the biggest mistake of all. Also, I'd do it for the points as well, because EVERY race counts, not just the last 10 or 12.

I love Mark Martin but, a real racer never lifts in those situations. I have never liked Harvick and everyone knows Mark Martin won the Daytona 500.
Kevin Harvick won the Daytona 505.
I would bet that Mark will try it again next year!

Happy obviously had the faster car. Many on the groups have ranted about Harvick not lifting and "giving" Mark the win. Well, folks... it is called racing. I for one do not think that Mark would have truly wanted anyone to "give" him the win. May the fastest car, the best team, the best driver of the race win... and that is what happened here.

I am a big Martin fan, If he had won it probably would have been as big as when Dale Sr. won. Kevin put himself in the right position to win the race and with a big push from the 17 he was able to take the win. Kevin made the right moves, kept Mark down low and deserves the win.

I would have probably lifted because they said if they have a wreck during the green white checkered, then the race is over. I still don't understand why kevin harvick won. Mark Martin did TECHNICALLY win the race, but they gave it to harvick.

I would have lifted as soon as I knew there was trouble behind me. Nascar blew that whole thing. Mark was ahead at the time when Busch started to spin. The caution should have been thrown, the field frozen. Mark won that race....Mark knows it. Kevin knows it. Nascar knows it....and there's nothing any one of them can do about it. Mark was gracious, as always. Kevin played the victim and Nascar kept quiet. Just more of the same old, same old. Nascar likes controversy!

No I wouldn't cause if you notice there are quite a few drivers who have won other races and never won Daytona. Look how long it took Dale Earnhardt to finally get that win there. You never let that opportunity pass.

No. There is not a single driver in the world who would lift to let someone else win a race, regardless of who they are racing. They are race car drivers!! They only show up to win!
