This might not be the best place to start. Are you questioning that you want to be intelligent? To rephrase the way you have written your question, you are asking us if you want to be intelligent. I would have to say, try again.

First of all, I think you want to be an "intellect", which means an intelligent person. A very good goal, just read, read, read and enjoy!!

Read everything you can from several different perspectives. Even those you disagree with.
Learn as many languages as you can.
Learn the origins of words in as many languages as you can.
Think about what you read and discuss with others to see what they think.
Question authority.
Observe people's words and their actions.
Learn the difference between faith and fact, Learn the difference between what you feel and what you think.
Question why things are the way they are.

Practice thinking about all sorts of things. When you can think of one reason why something might be happening, think of a couple more. This will teach you how to be moderately smart about as quickly as you can do so.

Take some fish oil supplements and read some good books rather than the Bible, that will be a start.
