constipation and swollen glands in your armpits and glands under your neck and feeling unwell? As I had a colonoscopy on monday this week, and to my suprise it did not reviel bowel cancer. And all my symptoms have gone, and my stools have gone back to normal, and no more bleeding after my runs anymore, as after I would run I would come back and bleed a lot of dark red blood from my bowel. So can Hemroids cause all of these. I heard that mucus in the stools is not from hemroids, then where is it from?

If your hemmoroids become infected, you can have a mucousy discharge along with the blood, your rectum secretes a discharge to allow your stools to slide through your anus, and this maybe the mucous you are talking about too. Red blood in your stools is a sign of hemmoroids, if you have black spots in your stools, this is a sign of blood higher up in your intestines or stomach, or if your stools are black and tarry, that is a symtom of cancer, but also eating certain foods will do that too. Dried prunes, will give you black stools if you eat a lot of them. Spinach, mustard greens, or any other dark leafed vegetable can cause it too. Too much iron can also cause black stools. So that is why you should see a Dr for your concerns. Also if you have a bad cold and are swallowing a lot of phlegm this will come out as a mucous, your body cannot digest phlegm. Babies will often puke it up for the same reason.

You doctor didn't explalin this more. Hemroids are usually a small to moderate amount of fresh red blood. Not lots and lots of blood. Old blood is almost black or burgendy. If you ever have blood in your stools especially a lot of blood go to the closest ER.
Has your doc told you that hemroids are the cause of your bleeding? I assume your doctor has checked your red blood count to make sure you haven't lost too much blood.

A person can bleed from something called angio dysplasia.
Small blood vessles that rupture and bleed. Some people bleed buckets of blood.

Make sure you are clear with your doctor of the cause of bleeding and what to do if you bleed again.

I'm surprised your gastroentrologist did not mention Ulcerative Colitis as that is the symptoms you have described in every single post you've made on this topic.
