You will only need the visa to enter China. If you are only passing through a Chinese airport, you do not need a visa, so I doubt Ninoy Aquino (I'm guessing a Philippine airport?) will need to see a visa. China will require one. You can't get in without one. However, since Chinese visas are stickers inside your passport you will have it anyway, so it shouldn't matter if they look or not. Word of warning, if you come into China on a tourist visa you may need to go to Hong Kong to get it changed to a work visa. At least that has been the experience of some teachers I have known. The company who has hired you should bring you in on a Z visa. If they don't, be very careful of hiring on with them. It is a good idea to carry a copy of your contract with you when you go through Chinese immigration. I've never been asked, but if immigration should want to know if you have legitimate business in China you can show that to them to prove you do. Good luck and Welcome to China!

For travel to China, the departing airline always checks for a valid visa. Yes, they will look over your visa, especially since it will be a Chinese Work Visa (Z Visa), unless you haven't gotten the Work Visa yet and are entering under a Business Visa, which they will also check.

I think what mark is asking is "if the immigration officers" will ask for his visa if ever he decide to go to china...from what i remember, Filipinoes don't need visa to enter Hong Kong ( which is a part of china )...but im not pretty sure if thats the same case in other parts of china if you are to work there...
