Probably. If the gods are as merciful as they keep telling us they are, "oops" should suffice.

"If there were no God, it would be necessary for us to invent one." Plato (I think)
Is there a God or did we invent one?
Is there a Heaven and Hell?
A simple definition of faith is believing when there is no real proof. If you believe in good and try to live that way, you don't have to give it a name; you are creating an eternal life on earth. Your Heaven/Hell is the way you are remembered by the lives you've touched.
If you do find yourself face to face with a Supreme Being, there will be no reason to explain anything. Whether or not you were a believer will be of little importance. It's easy to do the right thing when the rules, rewards and consequences have been mapped out for you. If you lived your life choosing good over evil with no expectation of reward, how could you be turned away in an afterlife? If your mortal lifestyle was a gift to a god you didn't even know what kind of Supreme Being could deny you the ultimate gift.

That's no difference than Christians who believe they can sin all the want and just wait until death to ask for forgiveness.

Your chance to choose is given here on earth. The judgement seat is kinda a moment too late.

Try a "high five".
Just slap hands and lightly say...."okay, I get it now".
It's all good!
Then tell God....that you forgive him/her/it for not revealing himself to you.
I'm quite certain that God will laugh and allow you the one small mistake.

If you don't believe, then you should never come upon him, he is fictitious.
