There have been problems in the past with Burma on the border as the Burmese govt chase the Karen people into Thai territory and there has been border incursions.. at varying times there have been problems like this in the north..
Relations went sour with Cambodia some years ago over the words of a young actress, and the Cambodians burned the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh..
But as afar as I know, currently, all fences are mended with the above mentioned strain w/Singapore and Malaysia.. but, I think there is no feeling of fear or threat

Hi, Thailand has pretty good relations with quite a number of countries. In fact I know of no country that Thailand has poor relation with.
Thailand, with its own unique culture and traditions, do not have to fear or feel threatened by any country.
Current things ongoing with Singapore is purely politically motivated and does not reflect the close relations the 2 countries had been having all these years.

I feel offended by this question because I know there are going to be some tensions. And why do you even ask this question in the first place? Truthfully, every country has its problems with others, and it might not be even countries, it just might be the leaders who have problems with other countries or their leaders. It doesn't mean that the people hate them or does not get along with or broken ties off with people or feels threatened or fears others.

I've read all the responses and like to say that all are wrong. I'm Thai and have several friends working in several areas/sectors, they're government officials, businessmen, technocrats, lecturers , farmers, etc. and I think I know what the majority of Thai are.
Thailand have no problems with any countries. We don't have any problems with people no matter what races, colors, cultures, religions, rich or poor they are. You can't take us to compare with Americans, Australians, British, or.any nationalities.. We have our own unique way of living and beliefs. We normally treat our guests (home or national level) as if they're our relatives and would be very happy if they have good time visiting our country. That's our culture.
Thailand might have sour relationship with Singapore re ex PM's visit to Singapore lately but it's nothing to do with their people ( we like Singaporeans to learn about their government's unethical practices done under the name of Temasek and we believe they'll understand and support us for what we're doing).
Sorry to say that we never jealous Singapore for their wealth like some of you wrote above. Thailand do not want to be rich country without moral and happiness especially in the smallest institue, family. If you read newspaper you will learn that we're following our HM the King's philosophy for self sufficiency economy and use the Happiness Indicies to measure the achievement rather than the wealth like many of you may think. Money without moral, real happiness and peace are useless and not what we want.
No matter what nationalities/races/religions, rich or poor, they are, if they prove to be unethical, selfish and immoral people or in other words bad citizens, we surely do not welcome them.
Hope I answer your question.

The definition of "poor relations" can vary widely. There is tension now with Signapore.
Citizens of China and other "socialist nations" have more difficulty in getting visas (need "additional requirements") to visit Thailand, as well as those from nations which have supplied refugees to Thailand. The list includes Bangladesh, PRC, Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Middle East countries, and "socialist countries".

Thailand fears Singapore not for its military might and strength but is jealous of its organisations, institutions, structures and prosperity. Thailand wants to be Singapore but it will never be so until and unless rampant corruption and the apalling education system are fixed.
Thailand doesn't like Cambodia very much nor does it care for Laos or Malaysia. It does however seem to love Myanmar (Burma to you and me).

generally thailand has excellent relations both within its neighbors and the international community. but relations have soured recently with Singapore after the country allowed for the former Primeminster Thaksin (who was recently deposed in a military coup with tacit approval of the king) to enter the country.

you do not evaluate 80 5,000 a year to be important? it truly is a remember of opinion. In a united states of about three hundred,000,000 i imagine it truly is important. And so a lengthy way because the "impressive" low fee therapy human beings bypass for overseas places, i trust your definition of "impressive" differs from mine. many situations they regrettably get what they pay for.
