A guy at the gym saw my heart monitor while I was running yesterday, it said 253 (as always). By the look of concern on his face I decided to look up heart rates...apparently mine is REALLY REALLY HIGH...but it's always been that high, is that a problem? My resting heart beat is 65 beats per minute (i just checked)
So basically when I'm running (I run a 6 minute mile, 4 miles every other day) my heart beat gets up to approx 250 every time....thoughts?

You should go see your doctor.

Simple solution really, go and get an exercise stress test done, this will test how your heart and lungs cope with this seemingly very high heart rate.

normally its safe to have a heartrate of 220 - ur age, so if ur 20 then 200 bpm is a safe heartrate, however if u workout alot it might b safe to go higher than that, ask ur dr at ur next visit
