Christians need help with that all of a sudden?
Only thing that makes anyone ineffective are a lack of will and uncompromising circumstances. If the Devil existed, he'd be far too busy to mess about with Christains individually.

None. The devil will try to confuse a Christian and tempt him/her to value/worry about things of this life rather than of God and eternal life. Read the book of Job in the Bible. You will see a person that was tempted to the greatest degree but with faith in God, he overcame all temptations the devil threw at him. We can do the same. To be sure, this life will have problems but this life isn't the end. Life in Heaven will be greater than we can imagine and will last forever. The devil can't take that away from us. It takes faith.......

The Devil will try to steal a Christian's joy! But God has promised to give us a joy that surpasses all understanding. Walking through the fire of this life's trials is hard to do unless you have the ability to focus on the Lord at these times and continue to praise Him! I always say to myself that God is bigger than anything that I am going through. As long as He sits on the throne I am not going to worry! I try to praise Him more at these times! It really helps!

By tempting us with our own human pride. If we allow ourselves to get angry with the sometimes nasty comments of non-believers because they disagree with us, we become ineffective.
