I would take what money was in the Priest's wallet after I was done sending him to God.

I am a Catholic. But , no, I would not take hush money. If a priest is erring it is my responsibility as a Christian to report him to the Bishop. He has to be removed from the ministry. A few bad apples doesn't make the whole tree evil. Protestant denominations also have as much sexual abuse cases but are not as scrutinized as the poor defenseless Catholic Church. We make no defense of bad priests. They are few. The majority of our priests are good Christians with the zeal for spreading God's mission on earth.

Nope !
But I would take a whole lot of money for my kids education, future needs, and for years of counselling one will be needing.
Money can't make it better, but it's a start and right after they are exposed to the world what they or he did to the children in question. Not only take money but strip him of his rights, the robe he wears and that cross too he bares!
GOD AS MY WITNESS ON THAT ONE!!!
Hurt a child in my eye's you will pay as long as this old mother hen is around.

No. There are some things money can't buy. Money won't erase the abuse or the bad memories it leaves behind no matter how you try. If I had a child, I would probably kill whoever did such a disgusting thing to them. That's is something that a person carries around for the rest of their life. No amount of money could buy me & my kid off. My child's wellbeing is invaluable and not for sale.

Any good parent would see that priest burn, and I don't mean in hell. I think a little Vigilante Justice would be in order. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
