I don't know where you're getting that from. Who cares if they are? And if they have more money, then maybe they'll buy the dinner.

it's not all men, it's a certain type.. the type looking for a more serious relationship, particularly the insecure ones... the providers as opposed to the lovers (the secure men who typically have multiple partners, flings, etc)...

Some guys naturally think they're supposed to be the providers... It makes them feel inadequete if a girl is better then they are because they feel like any control they have is gone if the women are more successful.

Plus ego plays a huge role, at a very young age guys are made fun of if they're "beat by a girl" or they at least witness other guys being made fun of.

Hey lady really not sure, but it is the way most boys are raised. You could chalk it up to testosterone but most guys have the feeling to protect and provide for women. It has been till the last 20 or 30 years that women have been in such high positions of power example is in government. Just how many women in office. That is my thoughts on the subject maybe this will help.

Ana D they don't get intimidated they just know down the road you will not be the women to take care of their children. If a man isn't looking for a wife a mother for his children you wouldn't intimidate them at all. You make your chose a career so look for a man that isn't looking for a mother for future children and you will be OK Good luck

What makes you think we are?

This is tough to answer without more detail. How do they know that you are more successful? Do you tell them? That could be a turnoff right there.

We probably don't care much whether they are more successful in business or not. However, if they are too business-oriented, shouldn't we feel less attracted to them romantically?

It's in the genes... man the mighty hunter. Pride, honor, even defensiveness. So when a woman beats him at his game, he is ashamed and is ridiculed by his peers. That's why some men would not work for a lady boss or refuses to date/marry a woman who brings in more money.

Some do, it is part of the culture. But it is not universal, many men could care less. They are doing what they like and that counts for more.

Ana,

Although I'm quite sure you could point to many instances where that may have been true, I personally never let anything like that get in my way...I go after what I want.
