I think that part of it can be our fault. And another part of it is their fault. Both are that way because we are human-- fallable.
1) We put too many expectations upon people. Unrealistically.
2) People want to please but make false promises. And they cannot live up to them.

The reason why they hurt us the most is because they are the ones we trust the most, go to for comfort, and when they betray us it is an utter disappointment and in most parts unforgiveble.

Because those are the people you invest the most time and feelings in, so when its revealed that they don't invest in the same way it hurts a lot more...

Because their familiarity sometimes leads to contempt or indifference.
Because they know you intimately, are human, thus sinful, and know where to hurt you the most.

It doesn't count as being hurt by someone if they reject you after you hurt them.

they hurt u the most bcuz they say they love u and u bileave them.
then u think that they love u and will be with you.
when u brake up or something you will be hurt more.
