Yes it is possible. Are you doing track right now? If not that is a good place to go. The coaches really can help.
Well if you are looking for some at home workouts, you should do some long distance running once or twice a week, plyometrics twice a week and one day of training on a track if you can. You should start out with a Plyometric day. Do a lot of jumps. If you have the small hurdles that they sometimes use in football use them. Focus a lot on single leg jumps, double leg jumps, and long jumps. If you have access you stairs you should do workouts there. With the stairs you can do a lot more. You can do the single leg jumps, double leg jumps, running up and touching every stair, skipping a stair, jumping as many as you can, "Harvard Step Test" taking 3 steps on a stair. Plyometric days will help prepare you legs for the endurance needed to run sprints. After a plyometric day you should go for a long run I would say a mile or two. This is to help your muscles recover and help you build a better base. Last if you have access to a track you should go there once a week at least if you can. Running there with a good workout will help more than anything, trust me. If you do a lot of plyometrics and distance running it will help your 100 a lot, but it is not a substitution for running on the track.

Of course, you can do anything at home.
If you have something that you can measure approximately 100m with, then of course you can.
All you got to do at that point is make sure you get lazy because now you are at home. Make sure you continue to push your self....but not too hard.

yeah dude
go for it, run around your neighborhood!!! always work on your start on the races though!!
also, if you want to do the 400m then I suggest to run for at least 40 minutes a day to get better stamina (the 400m and the 800m require both stamina and speed)
