Ok, So this is what happened I was in p.e and I dressed out and put my bag inside a locker were not allowed to lock. So i left for p.e and when i came back the locker was open and my bag was soaking wet all my papers, homework, and binders were completely wet. And we were told NOT to lock that damn locker. Because you dont really need to since its just for your damn backpack. Of course I was pist off so i went to the office and told them and they said it was my fault and to go to class of course i argued and said i couldnt return to class with wet crap. And i told them i didnt tell anyone to wet my things so how in hell was it my damn fault. So they didnt do a damn thing about it or fix anything. So what do I do now I cant just let the damn people get away with it. And the office thinks its so easy to just blame it on me. What do I do?? Help!!!

You will get nowhere by not playing the political game. Get used to it because it will never change. It's all political. You have got to learn to sit back and remove your emotion out of it and figure out how to get the response you want. When did they tune you out? The moment you walked in the door? The moment you starting flailing your bad language? The moment you got mad? Figure that out, then stop doing it. No one will listen if you don't lay the facts out on the table and hold them accountable without applying some maturity. Lastly, go in with an idea of what you want them to do about it and tell them. Think about it this way, what if you say..."My property was destroyed because I followed the rules by not locking my locker. How do you suggest I can prevent this from happening again?" Then, pay attention to how long they're quiet. Every milisecond that ticks, shows that they don't know either. You might be being dismissed because they want to avoid it. Hey, it's worth a shot. Better to know that it's them and not you. But loose the 'tude...it's going to get you nowhere. They'll tune you out before you get your sentence out. Listening is an art, but talking is even moreso.

Unfortunately, life is not fair. It is not fair for you to be blamed for having a wet backpack, but you also can't blame the office staff--they did not do it. Unless someone saw who poured water on your backpack, there is not much you can do except request permission to lock up your belongings in the future. You might also talk to the p.e. teacher to see if he or she has any ideas on how to protect your belongings. Even if someone has a grudge against you, unless you have proof that they damaged your property, you can't do a thing other than to take steps to be sure it can't happen in the future. I am sorry I can't be of more help.

Sounds like it's time for a policy change at your school. Either you or your parents need to write formal complaint that needs to be submitted to the princible of the school to allow students to lock their lockers if they choose to. Your parents can request a reasonable time frame in which the principle can respond. If there is no respond this can be take to the superintendent and the school district police. You are the victim of criminal mischef and/or vandelism. If the principle fails to do anything about it the school board can. You've just got to make sure your parents are behind you 100%.

unless you know who did it, there is not much you can do about it, but why not raise the issue with the student council, you should be able to lock your things away safely while you do P.E
