Put something that has your scent in the kennel with your Pit Bull.

I've read some of the other answers and don't get discouraged because it's a Pit Bull. If the owner of is nice & loving towards the dog, then the dog will be fine. If the dog is treated mean, then it will grow up mean. That is with any animal.

maybe you can throw some her favorites toys and with a blanket to keep her warm when she is in the kennel . some dogs are afraid of staying in the kennel or even a cage cause maybe she think the reason you put her in there for something she did wrong or even bad. cause dogs does has feelings more then humans . or you can try to put a big blanket over the kennel to keep her quieted maybe she will relize its time to go to bed .before you do that you should turn off the back ground lights so that no lights can show threw the blanket . and if you do gave youre dog something to chew on in the kennel to keep his self busy .

I just recently went through the exact same thing. Since she is still a baby, she is probably still missing her mother, brothers, sisters, ect. Put a ticking clock under a large pillow or doll. The ticking makes the puppy feel comfortable because it reminds the puppy of her mother's heartbeat. It worked like a charm for my crying puppy.

Totally ignore her.

If she stops crying, go and see her and praise her for being quiet but don't take her out. Give her a pat and walk away, if she starts crying again, ignore her. Soon she'll think "hey, if i whine, she doesn't come but everytime i'm quiet she comes and give me praise and a pat" she's learning that she is rewarded for her good behaviour and ignored when she is behaving badly. You can apply this training method to other problems you might have with her.

Good luck.

Of course I don't know what your situation is, but I raised my five year old pit from the time he was two weeks old. I never crated him. I just put him in bed with me. He still sleeps with me, all 90 pounds of him. He is the best dog. I leave him in the house all day while I work, and he never bothers anything. Once again with a pit, it is all in how you raise them.

Hi Lill, The best thing to do is put a piece of your clothing in with her so she will smell you and think you are there with her.I would also put one of her toys she plays with the most. This should calm her down. Enjoy your pup. A dog lover to.
