I know everyone recommends that you get eight hours a night, blah blah blah.
But I'm here to tell you that I know plenty of people who operate quite well on two-three hours of sleep a night, and have been doing this for years.
However, it works for these people because their bodies are accustomed to it. I sleep eight or nine hours a night, and if I go even a single night with only two hours of sleep, my body feels it big time the next day.
Really, get as much sleep as your body is adjusted to. When you start messing around with things, your body feels it and you get sleepy, etc. If you do want to change your sleeping habits (because of schedules, etc.) then do it gradually.
If you do just flat out stop sleeping, your body usually gives up and you end up passing out if you're not accustomed to it. I stayed up for eight days straight before I started hallucinating and finally passed out in my living room. After about three days, you get horrible headaches that make it not worth it.
Post details later on to let me know what happened...I'm curious!

I think you'll make it about 48 hours & then you'll get a warm fuzzy feeling & fall asleep in your pizza, or whatever else you are eating at the time. If you make it any longer you'll probably be seeing things that are not there. You'll probably sleep about 12-14 hours. Sleep deprivation is used as torture. If you can sleep, go to BED! I love your screen name! You should make it OFFICIAL!

Its possible, but you will have bad effects as soon as two days. Your body needs to rest to be able to have normal function. Lack of sleep will cause low concentration, irritation, low motor function, IBS. Also if your body decides that you have to rest it could be very dangerous. You could fall asleep while driving! You might not feel like sleeping, but your body needs it!!

Sounds like your body is out of sync. Think if there have been any changes in your life lately. Loosing sleep can lead to other problems psychologically and physically. Even death.
