I hope that question was meant as a joke.
However, for those out there who actually would think 400 lbs was a safe weight, and people who encourage it are "thoughtful"...umm. No. I would believe there are gf's out there (and bf's) who would want their mate to be large so that others wouldn't look at them (so they think). Gaining 200 lbs for anyone is just silly. But I think the last two lines of the question give away the humourous intent. Yes, yes, I got it.

sweetie the life insurance money is for thinking of herself when you die. Is she also overweight? 400 lbs is enormous. Are you able to work? The part of seeing fat people that are pretty old, I feel is not true. You almost never see an obese 70 year old. You see few obese people in the nursing home. You cannot blame your weight on her even though she buys those foods. You only are putting the food into your mouth. She should be ashamed buying those cakes and tempting you. This is love? She won't let you diet? Is she spoon feeding you? Be a man, tell her do not buy it so you won't eat it.

Excellent story! You actually had me going for a minute!
Reminds me of a question I posted before, trying to get people's attention:
Your thoughts on my diet pill/green tea/sauna belt regimen?
I’m 50 pounds overweight and looking for an easy way to get a six-pack in a week. I was thinking about taking a diet pill with my morning bowl of Cap’n Crunch with whole milk; ordering a Diet Coke instead of regular Coke with my afternoon Big Mac Super Value Meal; then after my usual dinner of fried food, salt, cheese, and buttered bread, I’ll have a cup of green tea while I sit on the couch and watch TV all night munching on a family-size bag of Doritos.
I don’t have time to workout and the gym is over ½ mile away. Plus, I don’t want to get muscle-bound since muscle turns into fat when you stop working out, so I was thinking about buying a sauna belt I saw on an infomercial.
How much weight do you think I’ll lose?

No man it's not, I'm 240lbs and I can ell you that we're both facing some serious life threating and life shortening problems. It's really more of a health thing for me though, obviously your intellect isn't restricted by weight gain, although what you eat can affect your mental performace, not to mention your sexual performance. If you can find a way to loose weight it'll make most aspects of your life better in the long run. Honestly I don't see many fat people who live past their 70's, don't settle man, get your girl friend to be a pillar in your life and ask her to help you change. I'm trying too man, and I couldn't do it without my girlfriends support...Good luck man, whatever happens...

You have answered most of your own questions yourself!! Everything you have just said is all the reasons you need to persuade you to get in a diet program. No it's not O.K. to be fat! Because your health suffers when you are over weight. Just don't give up! Keep trying,if you fall off your diet don't worry about it just get back on it!! The important thing is to never give up trying. Good luck!!!

Well man, I can tell you this, it's ok to be whatever you want to be, as long as in your head and in your heart you're happy with who you are, and thats the gods honest truth...
But, from a PURELY PHYSICAL stand-point, being Morbidly Obese is extremely unhealthy and is a huge strain on your entire system.
Being fat takes years, sometimes decades off of your lifespan, and leads to the top killing diseases in america which are Heart Disease, Cancer and Diabetes. (The last especially.)
SO, Like I said, there is no one on this Earth who has the right to tell you that you're any less of a person because you're fat, thats B.S. If you believe you are who you want to be, I say more power to you.....
But the physcician in me wants to tell you get in shape if you really want it! It will save your life in the long-run and make the life you live in the present much more light, energetic and free.
Good luck!

Come on, are you for real, or fooling around on yahoo ??
your GF says that you look good fat !!!
I suppose the only assistance that I could supply that would give you instant help would be to buy slip on shoes, so that you don't have the worry of bending in half to tie up shoe laces.
Sounds like a co-dependant relationship to me...

You know it's not.
You're in a relationship with someone who has serious insecurities and that's not healthy either. She's putting her fears ahead of your needs. When we truly love someone we do what is in their best interest even if it conflicts with our own desires.
Sure, many people who are obese get older but they still die young. If you keep going like this you'll end up bedridden. Sores, oxygen tanks, endless medications for blood pressure and cholesterol, and bed pans... Doesn't sound like much of a life to me. What if there's a fire? What if the ambulance crew can't carry you?
