music can sometimes work...but you know...the best cure for depression isn't a drug or perhaps pigging out...the best cure is to actually find someone to talk to about what you are feeling...finding someone who actually cares is a great way to alleviate your sadness...so don;t shut yourself from society when you feel down...find time to sit and talk with someone you trust...

I have had depression for so many years now I am just used to it. It took years of trial and error to find the right med and dosage. When things have been really bad I have rang lifeline, 24/7 if I have too. But then I made the decision to get out and be with friends and family, even though at times it was a huge effort and you can do that too. You get up in the morning even if you don't feel like it, have a nice shower, put on your good clothes and go for it. Sitting listening to music is just isolating yourself

I think it's nice to spoil yourself. Get your hair and nails done.
So shopping, try a new look. I also like to go to the casino
sometimes. I don't spend alot, but it's fun sometimes, to just
have some mad money.
You should probably talk to your doctor also. I felt depressed
last year, and it got to the point where I couldn't even work. I
would have panic attacks and I just really wanted to be alone.
I did get some medication, I took zoloft. It really helped me.
I took for about five months, and I felt on top of the world. I
didn't feel drugged, I just felt great, and I don't take it any more
but It did help. Maybe that might be something to consider.

Mostly my meds bring me up. I haven't found much that works other than that. When they're not working I listen to really loud, angry music and do something distracting but mindless, like play solitaire or watch a movie I know I like or hang out with friends. I've also been known to go on epic walks where I walk one direction until I've calmed down and am completely exhausted and then have to walk home. Then I don't have the energy to do anything but sleep. Sleep is good, too. Then you're not aware of how bad you feel.

I spent a reliable era of time feeling that way. you are able to get off your butt and regulate the failings that are making you unhappy or hit upon a fashion to address existence's little tragedies in a effective way. in case you won't be able to, there is no longer something incorrect with in search of professional well being, likely drugs that can help you you through the funk. more suitable than 50% of people wade through from some type of melancholy at one time or yet another besides the undeniable fact that it truly is short-lived.

Its ok to feel like that for a short time, when i get a bout i have a crystal so i walk to the beach & wash it then recharge it in the sun & hold it or have it in my pocket while i listen to music & burn some incense or candles.
I also journal or watch funny movies if all else fails.

The reality is there is nothing you can do on those days to help you because when you are in that state it's impossible to feel better. If you could cheer yourself up on the days when you get those terrible feelings you would not have them in the first place. All you can do is hope it will soon pass which it will .

i usually go for a walk....somewhere where the air is clean like a park and while i'm walking i either think positive things or just clear my head and watch the people around me having a good time .... watching kids play at a playground helps me sometimes it reminds me of times when i used to play as a kid

When I become lonely and depressed I ask Jesus Christ to fill my heart with His Joy, Love, and Peace, because that is the only solution for loneliness and depression, oh yeah, and its free.
